Elena Khomoutova

Elena Khomoutova
In 1992, Elena moved to Ottawa, where she still resides. Canada’s natural beauty and the kindness of its people are often the inspiration behind her paintings. She was chosen as the official artist of the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club and published close to 10,000 lithographs of her work. UNICEF in 1997 and SOS Children’s Village Canada from 1999- 2001, which printed millions of art cards that were distributed to more than 60 countries, have also selected her work.
Her paintings have a lot of symbolism in them; each piece has 7 elements and an owl figure. Seven is for good luck and prosperity, and the owl represents the wisdom of love and oneness with God. This wisdom is hidden in every one of us, and this is why it remains hidden in the paintings. The shining luminous light in her painting represents spiritual enlightenment.
Elena Khomoutova is represented in Ottawa, Ontario by Koyman Galleries.
