Charles Spratt is a nationally recognized artist who is represented in fine galleries in British Columbia Alberta and Ontario The artist has been painting professionally for more than 35 years with more than 25 solo gallery exhibitions to dateCharles taught watercolours and acrylics at a number of Ontario college summer schools for ten years and has given workshops across Canada He has appeared on television on several occasions to demonstrate his talent as a painter In 2007 along with nine nationally recognized artists representing the 10 provinces of Canada he was invited to represent Ontario at a ten day art symposium in BaieSaint Paul Que His large acrylic Dickinson Days produced at that symposium was purchased in Newfoundland during the subsequent crossCanada exhibitionHe has painted the Canadian landscape from the Rockies to Newfoundland More recently his plein air painting trips are for the most part to Charlevoix and the Eastern Townships of Quebec and Algonquin Park and Eastern Ontario He has won many awards for work both in watercolour and more recently in acrylicsCharles Spratt is a past president and Fellow of the Ottawa Watercolour Society OWS He is an elected signature member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour CSPWC the Society of Canadian Artists SCA and the Ontario Society of Artists OSAHis home and studio are located in the Village of Manotick within the City of Ottawa
